i have fresh CR42TS spark plugs(0.30 gap)
kirban plug wires(maybe 1200 miles on them
i have the original coil pack and module in it so i suspect one of those or both? but then again i read somewhere that the kirban wires are junk? is this true?

i have a club member that's going to bring over a known good coil pack and ign. module. but if i EASE the car to 10-15psi it runs perfect but when i punch it the boost goes to 15-16psi then starts missing. let me know your thoughts on this please.

Check ground and power wires. I know this is general, but just last week I had a similar problem. I could ease into it and all was smooth, but if I matted it, it would buck like it hit a rev limiter when it approached 15 psi. The problem was (I can't believe I'm admitting this) my FP hotwire connection at the alternator. It was loose and when the engine torqued, it came loose, then when it "shut down", the power would reconnect, and the car would "buck". Just a tought, this post will self destruct in 10 seconds. :o

Cody is it throwing out a code when it happens?Might not lock in but it could flash the ses light when it happens. You probably have a bad coil pack or module or both.Did it start after you installed the wires?

no codes so far. i installed the wires over a year ago and until 2 days ago it was running perfect. i recorded on the t-link when i go WOT and it did not show any codes during WOT.but then again does the t-link show codes that are thrown DURING WOT???

I wouldn't know about the t-link thing. The wires could have gone bad over time I guess.I just use cheapies from autozone.Last time I had the problem you describe it was the coilpack and ignition module.I did have a code 42 once but it turned out to be the direct scan cable picking up interference.

Cody, let me know when you fiqure it out. I've got the same problem. Tried new ignition module, coil pack, wires, plugs, etc. Nothing has helped yet! R.B.

just a shot in the dark here but...have you looked at the batt+ cable near the starter....sometimes it will ground out on the heatsheild.... as its kinda close down there...hope this helps joe

well....it turned out to be the coil pack.so i went up to Autozone and got i brand new one for $70 bucks, expensive but it's better than having to order one from somebody and have to wait.thanks for all the replies.
