Hello... I need help on finding out the origin of this turbo. I was told it was an 84/85 Riveria T-Type Turbo. The Comprosser Housing matching everything ive seen of Hot Air Cars but the Turbine Side is where I get lost. It does not look like the GN pictures I have seen. Nor does the Exhaust Elbow.

The exhaust elbow exits 90 deg from the orientation of the exhaust inlet which what i say the GN ones exit the same direction.

The Compressor housing is stamped with a .60 on the inside of the outlet and the Turbine as you can see is stamped .82.

Any info on this turbo would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yes it is a riv turbo. You can tell from the way it is clocked. But it can also be used on a 84-85 regal.

Here is my question about the hotside. Look at my DP side vs the one.

See the hump on the lower right hand corner....

Mine doesn't have that the mating surfaces are different....

The turbine housing is not stock it is an upgraded housing on that turbo. the stock housing is a garret that is .63 AR and that housing is an air research .82 AR housing which is more free flowing on the turbine side and will move the power band up in rpm. Still it looks like the elbow should still bolt up.

Oh no doubt the Elbow I have bolts up just fine. Thats not the issue.

In the picture I have a GN housing, the GN flange I bought and what my Housing looks like. The hole with arrows to them Line up the others do not. Its just not the same shape. Plus the GN Flange has a much larger hole in it then my Turbo does.

And you can see it here with the 2 overlayed..... I realize the housing was upgraded but what is it from I wonder?
