Help need a little info! please

Ok guys im new to the hotair cars, i need a little help clearing some stuff up. I recently got this car and im alittle confused kinda new to the turbo buicks. It is a 85 t-type that has been converted to MAF so does that mean it has to have a 86/87 ecm or what? Or did the 85 come with a MAF? If it has been converted how can i tell what ecm it has?

The 84/85 came with a MAF sensor. The 84/85 MAF is designed for the 84/85 ECM. The 86/87 MAF is designed fot the 86/87 ECM. The service number for the 86/87 ECM is 1227148. Good luck. Brad

FYI the MAF is the Mass Air Flow sensor located between the air filter and the intake.

Thanks for the info and yes i know that MAF is mass air flow im not new to cars or turbo cars just to these buicks. I have read alot of good information on this site. I realize these cars are very sensitive so i will probably be back asking for more help. Thanks guys
