Just got a precision turbo saver oil filter kit. The instructions are not great regarding fastening the oil filter braket to a location behind the passinger headlight on the sheetmetal frame that supports the radiator. It seems like you cant drill the holes unless the car is on a lift. Anybody done this installation?? Also I think the lines should have come braided. They are under the front of the car exposed to road debris.

Take out the battery and drill the filter support holes. The rubber hoses are pretty tough and can withstand exposure to elements.

Kin da hard to photo. Here's a pic from under the car.

I have the battery out but the battery platform is still in the way to get a drill near horizontal. I'm at almost 30 degree angle. The template is out of site on other side. I have a horizontal ridge on the headlight side of the sheetmetal which complicates the installation. Did your GN have this? Does the car have to be on a lift to do the installation? Did you drill the mounting holes from the battery side?? There is an oil line fitting that comes with the kit that screws into the turbo but there is already a fitting on the turbo. Which one did you use? The oil filter I got Is not the Baldwin but a WIX.

I went in from the battery side and used a close quarter drill, only $36.00 at Harbor Freight. Maybe someone else will chime in with a better way. I would use the fitting that came with the kit.

Another tip is to use some slit heater hose as a sleeve around the hose line where the line rubs the frame rail. You can secure it with some nylon zip ties. I did this and it gives extra peace of mind.
