While installing a gauge with power coming from one of the three ign ports on the left side of the fuse block I shorted out something and a fuse blew. I replaced the fuse but then found I had lost power to all three of the ignition sockets on the fuse block. Does a fusible link control these? I looked by the starter and everywhere and couldn't find any of the fusible links. If it is a link where the heck are they? Everything else works fine and the car runs great. Any help greatly appreciated. Geo.

It is most likely one of the fusible links. They are the 2 or three small wires coming off the big post on the starter solenoid the the positive battery cable goes on. Just because they look ok doesn't mean anything. You can buy new ones at most parts stores or Casper's Electronics. You'll have to splice them into they old starter wires. Pull all the wiring off the starter and pull the starter. The links have what looks like a black plastic connector about 6 inches from the ends of the wires. That is the fusible link.
