I found a KTF trans in junk yard, Should I use this trans? or should I spend money somewhere else. If I use this trans what will have to be done to make it stand up to the GN power? The guy wants $300.00 for it , I know this is alot but there is not many places to get a good trans around here and if I have to pay shipping from somewhere else than the cost is getting out of hand again. So help please.
 
the trans will need a gn ,or ss monte ho valve body to shift at 5200 at wot unless you have alot of time on your hands to calibrate it.from your signature i surmise you dont have a gn but something else .if so you can buy a recalibration kit from us and your on your way.
 
It is my dads car, but Iam putting it together for him. I have V8 mini tubbed ranger, that I cant get too in my garage, because the GN is in there,and I have to get the GN finished first and back to my dads house. But dont get me wrong I like the GN's as good as any car that I have ever had. Any way, do you think I should go ahead and get trans and buy one of your kits or shop some more for a trans. We plan on getting the car on the road until we put some miles on new motor. Will the trans. live or not ?We hope to get car in the elevens in the near future. How much for kit that you sale and is it simple to install ?
