Help please

I have a 85 GN with 85 PCM and im having some bad problems and i think its the chip, when im ideling its going between 800 and 15 RPMs only sometimes not always and it seems like its leaning out ALOT i have a new fuel pump with hot wire kit and a cold air intake, no knock gauge or computer, Im not sure what can be causing this at all and also i have NO top end, Some of the things its been doing is like i will be in just Drive in town and i will come to a stop light and it will chug like it wants to die but then get it self back and i will accelerate and it will be acting like its in 4th gear and not downshifting so there is no power, im runnin with vac. line off about 43-45 PSI of fuel stock inj. Please help me in anyway thank you.

Sounds like your ready for the 87 ecm conversion and scanmaster...without these you are in chuck and pluck world...hard to narrow something like this down without knowing what the computer sees. You could wind up spending more guessing at this then the conversion would cost.....

Thats what i was thinking but do you have any idea what it could be i have a Turbo Tweak Chip, Im almost thinkin that he burned the chip for bigger inj. maybe?

I would e-mail Eric at Turbotweak and ask him. He will let you know for sure. I recommend that you switch to the 87ECM and get a scan tool. You have no idea whats going on with your car and members can't help you. Brad

Simple enough put the stock chip back in and see if the problem clears...but like I said we would all be just guessing without some sort of diagnostic tool and the 87 ECM....
