I just bought a GN but the RPO tag was missing because the owner repaintined the and removed it. (Dont Ask where its at haha)
Is there any other way to verify its a true GN. Any info would help I just cant truley enjoy this car until I know for sure.

Thanks in Advance

What should I look for will it say Grand National or will it be the WE-2 code

We2. Also look for all the obvious things that are suppose to be on a gn. Black carpet, black on the front seat belts that touch the carpet, gn seat covers, gn dash plaque, gn wheels, rear spoiler, black carpet on the lower door panels, unique pallex material on the front and rear door panels, black front and rear bumpers, no header panel emblem or signs of one ever being there. Gn emblems. These are also some obvious things that are suppose to be there

Ok well i will take a look get back to you in a few days. Everything looks like the GN if its a clone its a damn good one. But i would still like a real GN

Lets face it anything can be faked with enough time, effort, and $$$. If a "real gn" was a top priority you should of bought one with all the proper stickers and paper work in place. Otherwise just enjoy the car for what it is and dont worry about what its not. Just trying to help

Ok thanks for all the help

I was just checkin to make sure it was a TR...I thought that was your concern. The build sheet will have WE2.. Dont even have to full remove the oor panel...just pull it back a bit and look inside...should be an old piece of computer printer paper with the holes on the side held on the back of the door panel with a piece of black tape

Thanks alot, Im working away from home right now I will find out tomorrow morning let you guys know. I know for sure it was a turbo by the VIN just making sure i got the real GN. But as the gentleman above stated so kindly that I should have been sure before I bought it. But when your 23 and your dream car shows up and at great price you tend not to think about those things until after you by it.

Dont sweat it. It is what it is. All car lovers have been in that situation before. As long as its a turbo regal, you should be happy.

The tag under the vin has paint codes. One should have the black code and the other is interior color which is unique to GN. You can also pay 50bucks and get a copy of options from Gm media archive.

You mean the code is part of the vin number or its under the actual vin tag. I will find out this morning when i see it again.

Thanks for the help

well gentleman looks like i got screwed the code is 11 and a grand national is 19 oh and the paper isnt behind the door

If you already determined it's a real turbo car and you like the way it looks what's the difference?? You even said it doesn't have stock seats so what does it matter if it's a GN or a T?? I'd rather have a T anyway.

I see what your saying but i prefer a grand national and on top of that I got straight up lied to by the guy who sold it to me. because he is the one who repainted it. i feel like I've been had. I want a real GN the heart wants what the heart wants i see you have a GN wanna trade
