HELP!! Scanmaster stopped working

One day I started my car and the scanmaster didnt light up...At night i can see the numbers very dim but its just a bunch of 8's lighting up and blinking randomly...I checked all the connections everything seems to be fine...I have not unpluged the computer or gone into it. is there a way to reset it or something? If it's not a problem that I can see, like a loose wire or something, what else can it be? Let me know, Thanx

There were some ScanMaster diagnostic hints posted on this board a few months ago. Something about grounding the signal wire since it is actually reading ground pulses.....this will let you know if the SM is still "alive". Try searching the board....it might be tough though since this subject comes up so often.
