HELP!!! why is my car idling so high?

my car is idling anywere between 1600 and 2000 rpm's i know this is way to high, what could be causing this. any help is appreciated.

one more question what should my car be idling at normally?

If you are going by the factory tach its more than likely off. I think normal idle is at like 800 or so. Check the tps, and the screw on the back of the throttle body.

Check for vacuum leaks and or a line that popped off. This is common under boost. A good preventive measure is to put wire ties on the lines to hold them in place under boost.

Reset the IAC and check vac. lines. Also, make sure there are no leaks in the throttle body gasket.
