A friend and I are swapping in a 200-4R into his SBC powered '79 El Camino. We'd like to install new cooler lines, hard lines, all they way up to the radiator. Does anyone know of some lines from a different G body that would fit? I believe you could get a mid-late 80's ElCo with a 200-4R, and I was thinking about ordering some lines for one of those, but I'm not sure if there are some differences between the '79 and the later models that will give us problems. They've got lines for a '79 with TH350, but the 350 and the 200-4R don't have the connections at the tranny in the same location do they? Haven't investigated, but I wouldn't think so... The connections at the tranny for the 200C we are pulling out are different than the 200-4R we're putting in, and I would have thought those would be a lot more likely to be in the same place.

Thanks for any help!

John

Check out... www.inlinetube.com

They make a variety of stuff for G-Body cars with engine and trans swaps.

Just put mine in the other day, 81-87 Regal with THM350 and Buick V8.

(yes... they have trans cooler lines for that application, amazing isn't it?)

yeah, I had already checked there. They only show TH350 lines for both the 78-82 El Cos and the 83-87s. I would have thought that they would offer some sort of 4 spd auto trans cooler lines for the 83-87s. Surely those last couple of years came with a 200 or a 700?
