Ok my question is simply this: If the casting number on the Block is: 25526109 does this mean it is a turbo Block with all the oil holes and sensor opening in it already.....So I would'nt have to drill anything or can it be a non-turbo engine as well.....

thanks

It can be either. If its 109 out of a na regal, youll have to drill the hole for the oil return. Also if its out of a na regal it wont have the turbo crank unless it a Goodwrench replacement engine HTH

ok

So by not knowing what kinda car it came out of I am not going to be able to tell if it is from a turbo car...Or is there another way??? How hard or were do you drill this hole for the oil

thanks

The oil return hole is in the right, top center of the front of the block, just below the intake manifold and between the decks, kind of behind the cam sensor. It returns the turbo oil to the lifter galley.

I've never drilled one but the block is cast iron so you'll probably want to use a carbide tipped bit or something else that is suitable for cast iron. It's a 1/2" NPT so you'll need a 1/2-14 NPT tap and a 23/32" bit.

Good luck,

The only thing that you need to drill out is the oil return hole...That is the only difference between using it in a N/A setup and a turbo setup...A 109 block is a 109 block...
