Help with hydroboost

I need some help with a problem i am having with my hydroboost on my 84 Turbo-T. I replaced the old hydroboos that was leaking with a rebuilt one. The problem i am having is with the brake part not the powewrstearing part. When i press on the break the pedal feels soft untill you get about half way then it feels like the hydroboost sucks the pedal to the floor and stops and wont return till i turn off the engine then the pedal returnes back to normal. With the car not running the brake peddal feels soft. The hydroboost has 3 hoses going to it 1 high pressure that is screwed on and 1 low pressure that is also screwed on and 1 low pressure that is just a press on fitting. Any help would be good it is my daily driver so it cant be down for long.

Thanks novaderrik but the way the hoses ae bent they cant go anyware else but those holes

is all the air bled out of both the booster and the master cylinder and lines?

Sounds like a problem with the master cylinder. Maybe try bleeding the system to see if that changes anything. And I do believe the fittings are a different size so you cant get the hoses mixed up.

Fittings on the hydroboost unit on my 84GN are different sizes so you cannot screw up.

There are two high pressure lines. One is the supply to the hydroboost and the other is the supply to the powersteering box through the hydroboost. The other is the return. When my matercylinder went bad and went to the floor, the pedal stayed down like you were saying. But you also could have air in the lines.
