I Thought see if you guys cold help me out. I just put on a RJC valve worked great with the stock turbo. I now have a TE-62 with a 2800 red stripe and 3" dp with 1.5 puck. my problem is over boosting. I have the valve all the way out and if I pull the clip on my wg the rod would drop off. This is on my Daily Driver and I would really like to see good solid 16 to 17# Any Ideas

nope..

I use the stock one and drilled a hole in the mounting plate. One other thing , I just went for a ride in the rain.. I checked to make sure that the spring was in right. I also turn the rod out 2 more turns. its better but It it still hits 19 and keeps going.. at 80mph

I'm having the same problems. I have the waste gate rod where its about ready to fall also. Plus i have RJC Boost controller all the way out with a couple of threads left. And i have a HD wastegate. I can't get it down below 23 psi of boost on pump gas. I don't want to blow a head gasket.

couple of threads...

If you find anything out before me let me know. If i find out before you, i'll let you know also. Hope you can figure it out before friday. I just got my new turbo in last week. I have a PTE 70 GTQ. I never ran a boost controller until now. I just installed mine last saturday and played with it for a while. I just couldn't get the boost down.

By the way, your car is a sleeper. I like that!!!

I just put the te-62 on and when it hits 10# it just start to pull pretty good. Just wish I could do full throttle :/

take the controller off and check your boost.......if ok, something is amiss with the check valve.....if still too high, something is up with your wastegate

I know what you mean about wishing to give it full throttle. Plus i just installed a new set of Champion GN1 Aluminums heads. I sold my Champion Irons i had.

Don't know if any of this info will help you or not , but I adjusted mine where you had to pull the WG rod 1/4" to hook it up ,I measured from center to center and first time out I got 19# since then I have gone up in boost :D and the controller has worked up to 24 # but no more.
I called Jason and asked if I was doing some thing wrong and he said once I hit in the 25# plus range I would have to go back to the WG rod to get any more. Really kinda backards of what's happening to you but, maybe it will help

Try adjusting WG rod so yo have to pull 1/4" before you hook it up.
Might want to see if ball inside controller is free and not stuck or see if you can squeeze the spring for less pressure so the ball inside lifts sooner. Good luck

I keep twisting the opposite way hoping to get more than my 20lbs.

Stupid Aluminum heads.;)

First time i hooked mine up ( not Jasons but homemade )It hit 40 psi in first gear down the track

Fixed it..

My hose came off WG, and my new 1.5 puck I put in was flopping around too much also. So I had to pull the dp and tighten it up about 1/16. The valve works really well with the te-62 I almost don't notice the difference untill I nail it. Then it just sounds like any other jet at 17# :)

Thanks for all the help..

Chris

Exactally what I was gonna say...Also I say Jacon say in a thread once if all else fails you can cut a coil off of the spring in the controller.

Seal Threads with teflon

You might also want to put some teflon paste or sealer on the adjusting threads.

You should try making the wastegate hole bigger.
I had to ream out the hole alot to keep the boost from creeping up.

ABSOLUTELY! People forget and just bolt on the turbo without opening up the hole. See it all the time...........
