My gn has been having a problem in the past when my dad used to drive it like sputter when high boost kicks in and has died on him on the high way once before. He parked it and it sat for almost 6 years till I took it out to a car show one day. I could get on it more then half throttle or it would just kinda back fire a lot and not fully rev out through the gear... Come to find out I drop the tank and the 2in fuel line between the pump and pick up tube was completely destroyed so I fixed that... Now still has the same problem and I find out that the ignition control module is in very bad condition to the point where I took it out to try n go get one from autozone but didn't get one ATM due to lack of 200$ to drop on that part... But I put the cccim back in and now it won't even start.

I can post a vid of how the car was acting before I pulled the cccim and I can post a pic of how bad it looks too.

But what I'm really wondering is if this could be the one thing wrong with it or if it has other problems as well.

Thanks in advance for any input on this.

Stop driving that car until you figure this out. Data is what we need or a location so that someone close may be able to put some eyes on it.

currently cutting it the F loose

I'm in San Antonio area and I don't have a scan master yet but i am gna try and get one. My dad's owned the car for a long time now but it sat forever until I started to mess with it.

That sounds lovely.. wouldnt drive car anymore until fixed.. those sounds can be costly. Start with plugs and wires.. check firing order make sure all plugs are and wires are in correct firing order and location. Varify fuel pressure, use correct fuel.. injectors may be gummed up aswell. Look into some injector cleaner.. testing coil pack and ignition module afterwards

Hard to hear but you're not even doing 25 miles an hour almost sounds like internal engine issues! usually misfire from the coil pack is under boost don't think you are running any boost there???

Firing order is correct, plugs are brand new as well as wires, injectors were checked and fuel rail and fuel lines were cleaned when I had the tank out... Idk if you saw the pic of my cccim but it's had some pretty bad results from heat... The whole things is starting to melt on the inside. But it's parked for now until I get a new cccim.

Yea idk if you can hear in the video that good but the turbo was spooling enough already it was pushing 5+ psi but I've checked all vacuum lines and the crank sensor is new. I need to check the cam sensor still but I'm leaning more towards the cccim since it's all messed up like in the pic, it looks like someone put it in a microwave for a good minute..

I wouldnt even start that thing.
Pull the oil filter off and drain it in one of those cheap black pans. take a light and shine it on the oil to see if there are a bunch of sparkly's . Could be a wiped cam lobe.
If that checks out. Do a compression test.

Compression test was good on all cyl's and oil is free of any metal and doesn't smell like gas or anything unusual.

More specifics on what I've checked so far

Fuel pressure is good at idle*cant really check at higher rpm since it won't go past 1/2 throttle

Compression is good

Vacuum lines are good

Crank sensor, spark plugs gapped at .032 and Plug wires are new

Oil is clear and filled to correct level

In tank fuel filter is clean

In line fuel filter is new

Ecu has mag4 chip

your on the right track then. Shell out the money for a new coilpack and ign. module. If that doesnt do it, you can take it back. I took back several at O'reillys because they broke up at high boost and the manager was cool with it. Same thing with advanced.

Start the car unplug the cam sensor and go for a ride. Still sputter?

A gen2 is a waist without the g chip.
