I just installed my ta-60 from the stocker and its at 16psi and it dont seem no more stronger than the stocker...it takes longer to get to 16psi than the stocker did......i used the stock housing and inlet.....do u think thats the problem? And i thought it prolly would wistle a lil louder than stocker....it sounds the same as stock one does..Any advice?

What converter are you running? Have you tried it at 23lbs?

At 16 psi, the car will definately behave like a stocker, and as you have found out, maybe worse.

With a good torque converter (3000+) and injectors, fuel/alky so you can run 23+psi you will see the benefits of it.

With my TA60, I was able to run 11.4 @ 120 at 28psi.

If you want a 16psi, true pump gas (safe) street car, then the stock turbo, TE44 or TA49 will do perfectly.

No. A bigger exhaust housing requires more engine speed/airflow in order to get the wheels to spool.

A bigger compressor housing would make little or no difference at the lower psi.

I would suggest going back to the stock turbo if you are keeping the stock injectors, converter and don't have any intention of racing the car.

i do have intentions of racing it...so i jus need some injectors and a stall...

And race gas or alky, a good chip, scan tool, good tires, etc...
You may have jumped the gun going for a bigger turbo. The stocker would do you while you learn to tune and launch. 12s are capable with the stock turbo. I'd put the stocker back on if it's in good shape and then work with the tune etc before stepping up. These are not like a sbc for tuning or launching. Read up :)
