happy to be here.new to the site,new owner of a low mile,pitch black 87 GN.love the turbo power,even for todays standards it's still pretty fast.though i'm fighting a screwy idle issue.the car is stock[unless chrome is a mod.]upon initial start up,car idles at 2k.the car is up and down,stumbles,but does not die.after 2-3 min.miss clears up,but idle never goes down.here is the screwy part,turn the ign.off start car right back up and idle is automatically at 700-800 about where it should be.i have checked everything i know including I.A.C. coolant sensor.injectors,smoked the intake hours of wiring check,removed performance software for stock,and yes i even threw a new ECM AT IT.ANY IDEAS? very sincerely, fast six

How did you check the IAC. There's a setting proceedure. Also the TPS sensor, do you have a way of reading that?

Please go to gnttype.org and go to the spring cleaning section for common proceedures.

I would bet that it is the TPS. You can check it with a simple multi meter.
