.......you get greedy.......I knew better that to not bore a HA TB more than 60 mm.......but I had to try.........this what happened at 61 mm...

......another....as you can see, when you start boring these TB's out, there is not much sealing surface left on the turbo side..

Yeah, That always worried me as well. Here is what I ended up doing.
So far, the O-ring works great, no leaks.

JB Weld ? Why not just wrap it in some grey 100 mile per hour duct tape ? :D
 
Hey BigDaddy,
I have a question regarding the throttle-body or anybody else can chime in, I'm in the process of cleaning up my thottle-body as well, but i notice in your pics, you have cut off the outlets for the coolant lines instead of capping them, I know it looks alot cleaner, were you planning on filling them in? just curious, if so, with what? Thanks :)
 
I used to tap those holes with 1/8" NPT tap and put plugs in them, that leaves a clean installation. But when it gets right down to it, you can't see them when the TB is on the car, so I started leaving them off. Less weight hanging off the front of the car :D

That looks similar to my front cover that I tried to drill out to 1/2" on the feed. Hit air just like your pic. You gotta hate that. :mad:
 
It is bored to 60mm..........and yes I have another one almost ready to go
