Last wednesday I went into this local gun shop to take a look at what they had. I have been there a couple times over the winter and tried buying a 99 savage .308 cal but the actual owner of the gun wasnt in the shop and his partner couldn't negotiate, so i left and bought a car instead. As luck would have it that gun is still there and the owner was and he wants to deal on it. But besides that I had a couple other guns on the wish list that i was looking for but didnt really expect to find. Only about 2 weeks ago i learned that savage made a handgun back in about 1907-30 ish in 2 calibers in .32 and .380. Well the 32 is way more common than the .380 and this guy had them both, The one that i picked up was a model 1907 in 32 cal with box and directions made in 1919 in absolutely mint shape. The blueing is fantastic and the other gun they had was a model 1917 in .380 cal. You know I have to have that one too but that one is about $300 more than the one that i got so i figured I would grab the cheaper one for now.

Well I was amazed that he had both of these rare guns and I really didnt think they would be this easy to find, especially in this condition. Will update when i get the other.

I did shoot it on last friday and it shoots nicely.

LMAO!!! Punctuation James please!:p I spent more than a few minutes correcting your typing errors so you at least owe me a beer but I'll settle for a large bottle of Captain Morgans spiced Rum.;)

Sorry buddy :) I got excited uploading the pics to the board I over looked that (-: haha .

Take a look at my thread in the lounge if you get a chance! Nice pics in that thread

You have no idea what find it was Archie. James PM'd me and after a little research we both were suprised what he'd found. Seems like he's just got luck at finding things.;)

Nobody knows about that surprise Charlie your the only 1 on here that I told about that. Same guy I got that from has 2 carcanos from ww2 he offered me for $125 for the pair I'm not sure if they are worth getting or not but I figure for the price they are worth looking at

Not great shooters but they're worth more that he wants for them. They're not easy to find these days so they're fairly colectable.;)

If they are German depot marked they are well worth it...

I have two...

Heck, they sound worth it anyway at that price...

..

Waffenamps James. Try searchalot.com rather than gaagle or one of the other search engines. It will give you less crap and better results if you are trying to find data.;)

Didn't know you were part of the 98K forum Archie. I don't get over there very often but there's some really good info on the board.;) One of these day's I'll post some pics of my fake 98 sniper I built years ago. you wouldn't believe how many people freak at gun shows over it thinking it's original.o_O
