Well,I was getting my car ready for the track, put the c16 in the tank and had the racegate to 24 pounds of boost.I usually run around 19 to 20 pounds on the steet and no problems.I set the fp to 45 line off and let it warm up.Took the car for a test pass on the street and it was popping and missing around 45 mile an hour. The o2's were around 820 to 790 and the timing on the trans plus 6.0 were at 24 and 21(that is the chip I have for base).I played with the fuel and the same thing would happen.I went home to put a new AC delco coil and Mod.Same thing happened on the next pass. The car would run fine under 20 pounds boost by the way.The next day it rained so I just worked on the car .It had cr42 plugs gapped at 32,new wire,Taylor 409 that I changed from the magnacors a week ago.I tried the NGK UR5 plugs gapped at 30 and the same result.I checked all the vac line with a vac pump and they were fine(new last year)I started the car and unplugged the cam sensor and took it out for ride, same thing.I bought a new crank sensor and changed the original one, gaped it three times to be sure and even used water marked and marked up the three interupt wall to see if the sensor would hit.Same result, popping and missing around 45 to 50 mph.I checked the grounds and the battery they were all tight. This was happening last year also but I thought it was the wastegate that I had and now I switched to the racegate and now it is more noticable.I don't know where to go now!Sorry for the long winded discription .If you think of something I might have overlooked, please let me know.Look at sig to see what I might have missed.
Thanks

I know this is weird but I had a very strange problem running and it turned out to be the ECM. I would check this and if you can find one you might want to check your valve springs. They could have gotten weak over time. These are the only 2 things I can start with. Any knock retard when it happens?

Mike have you tried a diff chip?Is your pos bat cable touching the header or engine mount?Mike do you have another MAF that you can swap?

Hi Guys
The springs are new last year(1000klm) The ecm Was done by Turbo Bob.It was modified for larger Injectors(75 pounders, new last year also)The chip is a extenderPlus 6.0.That is the only chip I run with the trans plus.I really dont have another to switch with. There was no knock and I did notice on the direct scan the injector pulse at full throtle it would only show 14 to 15 pw.Not sure if that is normal and the maf readind were at 118 to 120.I think that number is tripled with the trans plus(not sure). Most of the parts were new last year (less than 1000klm)except the turbo and intercooler.
I think this is going to dribve me nuts!

I think you got your terms mixed around a little. You're probably running a Translator plus 6.0 with the Extender chip
which BTW will display half your actual MAF values(not 1/3 as you suspect). Unless you're running an Extender Extreme (which I doubt at your level of performance).

Now, what are the settings of the 4 dip switches (not the twist knobs) in your Translator??

Had a similar Problem

I run a T-Plus and an extender, had a similar problem about a year ago. I e-mailed Bob Bailey and got a list of troubleshooting tips from him:
1. Have a buddy check your dip switch settings and rotary switch settings, you might not be seeing something that someone else will.
2. Reseat the chip with the positive battery cable disconnected.
3. Try the pig-tail loopback connector to see if it's the timing feature on the T plus.
4. Make sure the timing wire from the T plus to the module isn't near any other electrical wires, especially not plug wires. Use some looming if needed, but you must protect that wire.

Just for your info I did all these at the same time, so I'm not sure which one fixed it, but it's fixed now. - FAB6

My prediction is that you are going lean. You can't trust the O2 when the engine is misfiring. Turn the boost back down to 20 psi where it runs okay, check the O2s, then turn the boost up 1 psi at a time and watch the O2's.

Thanks Guys
Dave It is a Extreme 6.0 chip #EST5&C1F and all the switches are up.Bob gave me a new chip and another one for the trans box last year.I will try the trouble shot example when I get home tonight.I do have 4 passes with the Scan Master hooked up.I only went to around 55 mph due to the poping.I did have the D.S of before incase the connection was the problem.
Thanks for helping!

Big Mike,

Did you have the computer turned off or the D.S. cable removed from the ecm? I was/am having problems with only the ribbon cable connected. It is acting like a big antenna, Kent is sending me a shorter cable and an emi shield.

Mike

Sorry,I ment I test the car without the ribbon cable attached to the ecm, then 4 passes with it connected and the D.s recording. Then 1 last pass with it removed again.
Thanks
Mike

Change the maf back to stock and unplugged the trans plus and ran a race chip, same popping.Added a couple grounds and cleaned all the original grounds.Added a new ground wire from the battery to the fender wall(my battery has side posts and top post )Took it out for a pass and guess what,no pop.I went out again and had the boost at 27 pounds and again no pop.I think it is fixed.I still need to check when I get some more c16 gas.I did notice the 02 numbers between the ScanMaster and the Directscan are off by around 100 counts. The can master would read 750 and the direct scan shows 840 or so.Which do I go by?I think I am going for a EGT gauge that can record .Again,THANKS to everyone who helped me !!!!!!!! You guys are Great!!
