I have a standard boost adjustable actuator that I have just purchased and I cant get the boost any lower that 17-18lbs.I have the rod adjusted all the way out so you don't have to pull the rod out at all to attach to down pipe.I thought this actuator was supposed to be adjustable from 12-22lbs.Has anybody ever had this problem. Its almost like I have a high pressure adjustable actuator is there any visible difference between the two,any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ikle.

sounds normal to me especially with your upgrades such as downpipe and duttneck. you can remove the y setup for the wastegate and just run tuner style. that is a hose from the wastegate to the compressor housing eliminating the y connector which has a restictor to increase boost and spool up. this should lower the boost to the lowest setting probably 12 or so and you can work up from there.

A little confused on how to run that set up do you have any pics or diagrams to show me how. Thanks, ikle

do away with your 3 hoses at the turbo and just run a hose from the wastegate to the compressor housing. right now you have one hose coming from your wastegate diaphram and another from your compressor housing that both connect to a grey plastic Y connector then another hose from the Y to the solonoid on the valvecover just do away with it and replace it all with one hose from the wastegate diaphram to the compressor housing

QUIP 6,Thanks for the info, just so I understand this correctly I just run a hose from the adjustable wastegate actuator to the compressor side of the turbo and eliminate the solenoid on the valve cover, then I should be able to lower the boost. How does that work, I thought the solenoid on the valve cover bleeds off air to maintain a specific amount of boost,so if you adjust the wastegate rod to lets say 16lbs of boost the solenoid bleeds off air to maintain 16lbs of boost.Just trying to understand this car.Your help is greatly appreciated,Thanks, ikle
