SignUp Now!My coil hot wire was worth every penny. The car just "feels better". Idle was improved, and it just runs soooo smooth. I am 100% sold on ignition upgrades now, so Im anxious to hear about these new coils!
Im waiting on Bob Bailey's new COP setup... it should be sweeeet.![]()
How are you guys hot wiring the coil packs?
cut the 3rd pink and black wire from the left and ran one to 87 on a relay and the other from the harness side to 85 on relay. ground the 85 on relay and 30 went to a fused line to the alternator.
Are you saying to cut the 3rd wire from the left which is pink and black? or is there actually more than 1 pink and black wires and to count over and cut the 3rd one from the left? Are these wires numbered or marked in some way to identify them easily?
Thanks for any info you can add to clear this up for me,sometimes i get lost with directions.

I went out and removed the connector plug from the module and the wires are labeled by letters; ABC D EFG HJ KL MNP
The wires going to the letters B M P look like they could be pink with a black stripe, but it could just be they have faded after all these years. But if they are then the 3rd pink and black wire from the left would be letter B.
Ok i got it now. There are 2 pink and black wires and they are pinout letters M and P on the connector plug which are both ignition power wires. Since the 3rd wire from the left is pinout M thats the one i will use for the hotwire connection as suggested above.Pinout B was actually a tan and black wire,it just looked pink and black from fading.
I apologize to the op for hijacking your thread. But hopefully the info will help some that want to run a hotwire to the ignition.
