High pitch noise after turning engine off

Hi,

I have a strange high pitch sound after I turn off my car. The exact location is hard to pin point, and it runs for about 30-45 seconds after turning my car off.

The sound goes away in about a minute. There is no audible knock det installed as far as I know. And these are usually inside the car, not the engine bay- I hope.

I couldn't get that site to play...

since it's inside the car, could you replicate the event and move the HVAC controls around and see if that does anthing? the top slide not the hot-cold one.

Solved. It was an old, perfectly pinched, vacuum line! Holy bananas.

A pinched vacuum line was making that audible sound? geez, this car continues to surprise me!

Now that I think about it, sounds like when my kid is punching the end of a balloon lol
