i've done a search on this but haven't found all i was looking for.
whats the advantage of the alluminum tanks? it semes to me they would just be extra weight. if a powerstroke can put 50# through them i wouldn't question its ability to handle the 25 i might give it.
i remember seeing somewhere that someone was making a pipe and mounting bracket kit for it. i could make up my own brackets but as for pipes, forget it. i can't fab up much, and if i have to weld much, haha not happening. if your going to try to encourage me, i'll take pictures of my welded downpipe.
i'm lost about what has to, and what doesnt' have to be cut. from what i'm understanding you have to cut the radiator support to get the pipes through. makes perfect sence. but what about the bumper supports, headlights, header piece? i've read where some people have cut all of those, some have cut none.
what year trucks am i looking for when i call around to junk yards?
and how much does this hurt the cooling system? i have one of nick micale's high effeciency radiator, right now on the hottest days with ac on i never see over 180 (stock ic) usualy it stays under 165. would i also need to get dual fans to keep up? i'm building this as more of a track car, but i definatly want to have the option of driving it any day i feel like it.
for $300 most people spend (from what i've seen) i don't know why i would want to go any other way. this is cheaper than a dutt neck and alky. it only makes sence.
any other advise? downsides?
