Highway Stars ACC Premium carpet

What do you guys think of this carpet, has anyone used and or installed this carpet ? I am looking to focus on the interior of my car this winter so I need to replace the carpet,mats and the dash speaker cover to make it mint. Thanks, Kyle.

I have it, but I got it from gbodyparts.com. It was heavy and it needs trimming to fit. It looks mint to me and better than stock. I have been thinking of removing it and using a lighter carpet to save weight for racing though.

The non rubber backed carpet is alot lighter. I will have weights later this winter.

i bought mine through nos4gn. took forever because of shipping mix up but the carpet looks good. the heavy backing kind of makes it a pita. makes it nice and quiet though. just wish the damn windows sealed

I purchased mine from Highway stars and like the product.i purchased the heavier backing for noise reduction. They have a few options for our GNs. ITs just a matter of preference. Good Luck.

I too replaced my 87 GN carpet with Highway Stars Premium Reproduction Molded Carpet. The carpet is pre-formed and included both Jute Padding (sound deadener) plus Rubber Mass Backing (mass backing was factory original) which is already glued on which serves as an additional moisture and sound barrier.
I don't race the car so why worry about the pound or so; more into comfort and having inside the car nice and quieter. As you can see the top carpet is the original and the bottom is Hwy-Star replacement. I replace the carpet in the summer since I used the hot sun to warm up the new carpet for more flexible installation.
The darker color replacement carpet is the actual color, where I added more flash to show how well the pre-formed fitted all around back seated area and as well as the front.

when i weighed my stock carpet (rubber backed) it was 22 lbs but varies
and for racers the non rubber backed is 11lbs , ...remove the jute and its only 7 lbs
