Holding Gears?

My TTA lately has been holding gears, as in not downshifting, and upshifting very pickey. The tranny was rebuilt a few years back by Mike Kurtz shop and its doesnt have a gross amount of horsepower. I also noticed when I'm holding 40-60mph it feels like the torque converter is locking and unlocking as if it can't decide what to do, and if I lay into it a bit instead of downshifting, it starts acting as a standard tranny does when you floor it in to low of a gear.

With those symptoms it sounds like your TCC (lockup) solenoid is going bad. They all do eventually. Luckily it's easy to get to and change by simply pulling the pan.

Yea it deff. feels like it is the TQ causing it to do this, I'll get that replaced along with the U-joint. thanks
