I was about to ask if this was prototype and the production version will be machined?

Still considering both options, with price being the deciding factor

Sounds good.

Machining is nice, but expensive for limited run parts.

Back in the early 90's I made some dash parts machined out of black Delrin.I put a brushed finish on them with a belt sander and then vinyl protectant (LIke armor all), looked just like brushed, black anodized aluminum.

Good luck with whichever you decide, cool stuff.
