;) Need some help.
My home PC is at the brink of crashing and I want to reload windows, because it barely runs
It has WXP installed when I got it but did not get the software disks with the code ...... so ........

How do I get the WXP code from the PC?

Need to know what brand and model number of the computer unless it was custom made by an independent computer dealer.

Don't think the off the shelf PC's come w/ the disc. The computer mfgrs use a license to load it on your pc. But, are prohibited on supplying you the discs..BTTT.. Been There, Tried That... Got turned down when I asked.

Are you using disc scans, antivirus, etc, etc?
What kind of maintennence are you performing?

you can always DL windows XP offline...if thats not an option, you might have to buy a new set of XP disks

As long as it has the COA (Certificate Of Authenticity) on it, you can install that version from where ever you get your hands on the media. Just beware of pirated copies that may contain viruses and trojans out of the box. The COA is the sticker with the OS, Version and product key on it.

Thanks guys.
I had the PC upgraded a few years back, and, the place is closed.
I run spyware, virus detector, etc.

Turbojimmy,
I think one of the links allowed me to download some software and looks like it worked. Not sure yet, but, I wrote a 25 digit code down, and hope this is the code.
