The previous owner of my car lived in Florida so he had the heater hoses rerouted so it cut the heater out of the loop. Anyway I was putting new hoses back on correctly and when I got finished I noticed a black wire with an L shaped boot on it that goes over to the first sensor under the sensor bracket cover on the passenger side. Is that supposed to attach to the tube on the bottom of the valve that goes inline of the heater hoses? I didn't notice anything loose before, so I'm assuming it was connected to the mess he left of the hoses. I can't find anything in the service manual that shows this so far. Thanks in advance.

which is the valve in line with the heater hoses that come out of the firewall ;)

Ok so it does just slip on that little tube that comes out of the bottom of the valve?
