Replaced my TCC solenoid in my trans and notice a small piece of ring like material about 5/8" long stuck to the drain plug magnet. No other chunks of material anywhere. Not sure what it was from but everything looks clean inside. Impending doom? Put it back together and will hope for the best. Any idea what it might have been from? Trans shifts perfectly, no slipping, no funny noises, etc. TCC was locking up early and it had the symptoms of a bad solenoid, haven't had a chance to drive it yet to see if that was the fix. It only has 22K on it and it has never been rebuilt and hopefully won't have to be soon!

I'd send an email to Bruce pronto.

How hard was it to put in?

What's that cardboard for? :D

Salvage, was easy to replace once I got the right one from my local GM dealer. Plug and Play. Still wish I knew what the metal chunk came from! If she blows she blows! BTW the cardboard is for absorbing moisture in the package or so I was told.:D
