Stupide question guys. is it ok to use hose clamps on Stainless Steel braided rubber hose? I have a few spots on my car (tranny Cooler, fuel filter) where I am not able to use AN fittings and have just clamped the Braided line to the metal "nipple/line sticking out". I've run it this way for 2 years now and havent had any problems, Just want some opinions if this is a bad practice.

It may not be NHRA legal, but I've run braided teflon from the back to the fuel filter now for 10 years with double fuel injection clamps on it at each end.

Braided rubber is easier to seal up to hard line.

I don't stress those connections in any way however, such as wheels up launches and landings. ;)

I'd consider it a bad practice that's worth the risk.

They only drip a bit when they leak anyway, it's not like the hose is gonna pop off of there if it's double clamped.

Just my .02.

ok, atleast I know I'm not crazy now. thanks for the answer.
