Hot wire kit question

Going to install my hot wire kit and was wondering if i needed to drop the tank in order to hook up the ground to the tank lip?Thanks

The ground to the tank lip is just a slip on tab. You don't have to.

Got the kit on.I just slipped the ground with the slip on tab to the side of the tank.Is that OK?I wasn't able to reach my hand to put it on the lip by the pump.

It just clips on the flange near the tank strap.

It's also a good idea to clean/sand the flange with emory paper to get a good contact.

I did sand and clean the area where i slipped it to.Thanks for the info.
