Seems like this is the cheapest top of the line unit anyone has. $225 on ebay or $279 on crutchfield.

of course, doesn't have the features like others.. but kenwood's in the past have been solid.

Anyone else have a recommendation for a good SQ reciever for under $300 i should look into?

I'm used to old school Sony ES, Pioneer Premier stuff.

Thanks in advance.

I bought one for my daily driver. It is clearly the best head unit I have ever had. I pod control and usb are excelent. DSP is amazing. I have it hooked up to a boston accoustics amp and pro series sub. With old school polk dx 5.25 components and sony es 6x9 in rear.
both running off head unit power.

Sound Quality is great takes a bit to get used to the interface though but then it seems second nature. Only complaint is the color display which is user selectable, is hard to read in sunlight on some colors.
I paid 200 on amazon.
