When you have a 60 and 61 and 63 and 64, what exactly does that mean? I know that the larger the number the larger the turbo. But can anyone tell exactly what the differences are. Is it cfm and the compressor wheel? Also the exhaust housing, A .63 housing what are they measuring? I would like to know what it all means.

this chart will explain damn near everything.:)turbo flow is based on the wheels and housings.the te(integral inlet bell) housings flow more than the ta housings(bolt-on bell).with exhaust housings the #'s(a/r,or area to radius ratio)basically break down to a higher the # will give you more lag but more top end.

as far as maufacturers #'s go there isn't always any rhyme or reason.look at what turbos have what wheels and what the dealer calls them:rolleyes: .

pte te-63=jc te-45
pte ta54=jc ta-61

you get the idea.have a good look at the chart, there's really a lot of info there:).

later,sean
