Not to take anything away from Alabama, they won, they earned that victory, congradulations to them but the UF players did not loose that game! The offensive coordinator did. He is the biggest idiot I've ever seen call a game. How he keeps his job is beyond me. The only reason the Gators won games is because of the talent of the players. He couldn't find his way out of a room with one door. The guy has no imagination at all! He's got to be someone's brother-in-law.

Percy Harvin & Louis Murphy playing on Sundays doing very well I might add and no longer receiving wounded ducks from Tebow has nothing to do with it either

Please don't pull a seminole fan on us and get butt hurt because your team lost. The gators are a great team and are not just a bunch of losers now. They won games on more than just talent. They beat some very good teams along the way and will be a force to be reckoned with next season as I already know they will reload. Even though I don't like them I must say they have nothing to be ashamed of. They won 22 games straight and I don't care who and where you play that is an accomplishment. The UF players got man handled in that game and did lose that game. They played hard though and if it was not for a few key plays such as the INT in the end zone of the pass by the best player ever in the history of everything UF had a chance at coming back. Last I seen the O coordinator does not throw the ball down the field. Alabama had a game plan, they executed that game plan for 4 quarters, and beat UF on the field man on man. A team is more than an over hyped media magnet quarterback. It goes to prove that last years UF team playing a much tougher schedule with more talent at key positions was better than this years team. The coaching can't be creative and make plays down field when you lost 2 star starting wide receivers to the nfl. Bama dropped a lot of coverage down field. They took away the things that Tebow does best. Executed it like a pro team. Any given day a team can be defeated. Ask the undefeated patriots what happened against that wild card giants team. Hard to stay on top for long in any sport. You get everyone's best game when they play you when you have that kind of reputation.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I'M LOVING THIS $HIT!!! Gentlemen, my hatred for the UF Gaytors cannot be described in words, nonetheless on a discussion board. My one message to that program and their douchebag A-hole, classless, worthless, P.O.S. coach is this: That's what you get for scheduling the weakest non-conference opponents who all "just happened to be" Div-2 schools like CSU and other b/s programs like Troy. That just shows the type of person urban meyer is...forget the fact that he runs the score up 60+ with Teblow still in the game during the 4th qtr, but come on man.

Oh and another thing - if ANYONE even CLOSELY related to the University of Miami was EVER caught gouging eyes out during a game or found passed out drunk at a green light in his car, "Thug U" would be on freakin CNN and banned from the NCAA.

You mean like this: YouTube - Tebow for Heisman? Florida vs Number 110th ranked Vanderbilt

Don't forget the lobbying for his player and team. He should be the next governor of the state of florida. Saban detested the idea and questions for his team being david vs goliath and his star running back being hyped for the heisman. He just wanted a chance to have his team compete for a championship which they earned by winning all the games and if his star player gets to win awards from earning them so be it.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a sore loser in the least. Alabama deserved the win. They out played Florida all over the field. I'd be the first in line to congratulate them. Florida won games this year they did not deserve to win. Everytime Florida got something going Bama stepped up defensively. College football is soooo unpredicable and that is what I like about it. No one predicted Bama by that spread.

I'm saying if you've payed attention to the plays Florida has run over the last couple of years you'd see they are a boring team to watch. Locally the Gators defensive coordinator apologized for his inability to read Bama's offense but it was Addasio the offensive coordinator who took Florida out of the game with his repeated running of the only five plays he knows. Running Tebow is three of them. The guy is an idiot and Meyers deserved the loss for keeping him so please don't apologize for him by saying the players lost the game, they did what they were told.

If Addasio could think of some other play beside run Tebow for two plays and then the backs up the middle the opposing defense would have to actually move instead of wait for the ball carrier. With Tebows weak passing ability you need more than three running plays up the middle to beat good teams. Once they shut down the middle Tebow had to go to the air which is not his strength because we don't run around end but twice a game.

The coaching staff wanted Tebow to break all the school records and get the Heisman so they ran plays to his strenghts all year except every defensive coordinator in college football knows this so Bama closing the door on the running game was really no surprise.

You guys can call it anything you want but it was the coaching staff that lost the game not the players. The players have the ability they just have no leadership on the sidelines and I'm glad Bama exposed it.
The Gator coaching staff have been lucky too long anyway, they needed this wake up call. I feel bad for the players not getting a chance to keep it a close game though.

I read what you said and understand where you're coming from on the decline of the play calling. However if that is 100% the case then something is terribly wrong. 2 time champion, 3 time heisman finalist winning once as a sophomore. If it is all the coaching staffs fault. If it is not the players fault then explain why his numbers are declining especially after you say the coaching staff is designing every play for Tebow to get all the touches to pad his stats for a heisman. I still think they don't have the weapons they did in the previous couple seasons to spread the field and had to rely on Tebow more. When you create a frankenstein you have to be ready to deal with the side affects. I agree 100% about them being way to lucky for way to long. Ole miss came in on a long losing streak. Unranked and beat them last year at the swamp. Texas having been a solid team for quite a few years now got snubbed because everyone wanted to see the O of the sooners vs Tebow and the gaytors d. Sooners were allowing 24 per game. Very high for a championship contender who got handled by Texas.

Texas only loss came to Texas Tech a highly ranked team on the last play of the game to a senior wide receiver projected for nfl as a first round pick. I agree it caught up with them and a team of Alabama's caliber executed a perfect attack of them on both O & D. It is inevitable that a team can't stay on top forever. By the way Charlie Strong landed him a coaching gig today. So next year I will be expecting to hear about how crappy the next D coordinator is when the gaytors lose to UT ;)

big east referees game the BCS game to Cincy...pitt was up against the bearcats and conference corruption... i hope florida waxes them nice and good. as for tebow...tebow is a legend... he's everything a college football player was and should be. whether it is football, your job, your family, your cars....emotionals such a celebrating or crying only show how much you care for something.. no one cared more about winning for the team than #15.. i dont have to question if he is a man or not after watching his whole career being chased by guys trying to rip his head off. I've seen Ray Lewis cry too...you can;t tell me that guy is a pus. Just because a soldier at war doesnt always cry doesnt make a football player who does a wuss...you have to relate it to what a person does...his job was to win football games and championships. Tebow is a true hero and role model to young athletes, sports could use a lot more tim tebows. I wish my panthers would have gotten a chance to play florida just so i had the chance to see tebow play his last game.

Are freaking serious?? Big east corruption?? Get outta here with that bs. There were so many no calls on your boys. Name a call that effected the out come. Pitt had many chances to win that game and they freaking choked. Uc had its worse game I've seen in awhile and pitt still couldn't pull off a win in their home stadium lol. You should be pulling for the big east team in the sugar bowl. Any big east team beating a sec team in a bcs game is good for all big east teams. That's being a sore loser pulling for florida bc uc beat your team. You can also pull for the bengals to represent the afc north in the playoffs this year too while your at it haha.

Gator fan or not, when AL whips TX ass that will be 4 in a row BCS championship titles for the SEC, 5 since the BCS series started in 1998. Love them or hate them the SEC teams are by far the best. Lets say it now the SEC will sweep their bowl games! But as always, next year they will try to put some Big 12 or Big 10 team at the top of the rankings. And lets not forget ACC who?

Ain't that the truth! I don't know what more it's going to take to get all the talking heads at ESPN to come to grips with the FACT that the SEC as a whole is THE elite conference in college football. The BCS as a whole is a bunch of crap all centered around guess what...........money. As far as I'm concerned, we saw the real national title game in Atlanta last weekend. And for all the haters from Florida and Tennesse who will root AGAINST Alabama in the BCS title game - that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of - I always pull for the SEC (even Florida and Tennessee who every red blooded Tide fan hates) when in bowl play.

And one more note - I thought it showed class when Saban and the Tide took a knee on that last drive instead of trying to run the score up not to mention not risking any key players getting injured. Urban Meyer should take notes.

ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the one reason above all others as to why Ray Lewis isnt a "puss" is the fact that he was a 'Cane...

me rooting for FL has nothing to do with it just being the team that beat pitt...i rarely ever root for the rest of the big east...plus i'm a huge tebow fan.

a "joke"? Forgetting the fact that they turned around from basically a .500 season to a top-10 ranked team...and with all freshmen and sophomores at that? Regardless on how far ahead UFgay is ranked of Miami, they will still never have as many championships, records, tradition, or players in the NFL

New coaching staff this year bud. Why they changed I don't know.
And you're absolutery right they've created a frankenstein with designing everything around Tebow. If you were a defensive coordinator you know he is going to run twice a series, you know who he passes to. Tebow has not improved his ability to look at multiple receivers and defensive coordinators are wise to his running and passing game now so his numbers will decline. Who's ultimately responsible if Tebow doesn't improve? The coaches! True managers and leaders know how to find the key to motivate any individual. Florida has been lucky. Ron Zook did the ground work. Ron Zook recruited those championship teams and Urban Meyers got all the glory. Ron Zook never got the chance to build a coaching staff. Now that Meyers has to deal with the loss of the players Zook recruited we're seeing the true coach. Meyers is done, he's shot his wad, watch us next year.

I’ve been in sports all my life, playing little league baseball, running track and swimming in high school and college along with playing minor league single A ball (partying rather than working was my undoing). I’ve also coached kids from 5 to 16 for 12 years.

All kids start out uncoordinated and ill suited for sports but they all get better, some more quickly than others. All have some ability and some have much ability. Some take it seriously and it becomes real competition, some don’t just playing for fun. Unfortunately not all people can play at a competitive level and many who have the desire do not have the abilities and must resign themselves to amateur levels. A very few learn to use hustle and attitude to overcome ability shortfalls. On the flipside many very talented athletes with extraordinary abilities never develop the right mindset to play at competitive levels required to achieve national or world stages (my son is figuring this out right now and beginning to comprehend the personal cost of being highly competitive at pro levels).

That said all the participants on the field for the Bama/Gator championship game deserved to be there. The players of both teams knew what it would take to win that game. Winning or loosing games of this caliber is now more a leadership thing than an ability thing. The leadership was not there for the players and that is why Florida lost that game. If both teams played to their capability of athleticism and leadership it would have been a close game but Florida came to the table with too much missing to win and it showed. Again Bama deserved the win, they played to the best of their abilities, their leadership did their homework and came prepared to win. Florida was beaten from the opening kickoff.
I will always maintain it is the coaching staff that loses games at this level not the players. Yes players have off days but coaches should have a contingency plan for that. Florida does not. One or two or three players should not be the reason a team wins or looses. Yes they do effect team play but no team should be built around them.
Players will be an extension of their leadership.

Mikey

FL has 3 and almost had a shot at a 4th this year and miami has 5...FL could certainly catch them.. on the grand scheme of things Miami doesnt have a great storied past..before 82 they were basically nobody. I think the SEC is a bit overated but the ACC is pure garbage.. Miami will never be the power it once was because they have to have accountibility now..they didnt in the 80's and 90's and they ran around lawless and let anybody in the school. too much scrutiny to do what they did then.. heck FSU is down and miami still hasnt been able to dominate in the ACC... they should have never left the big east. USF is more on the rise than miami is. They also tore their tradition down...i dont care how crappy it was the OB was miami football.. the home winning streak, coming out the smoke...they;ll never have that at joe robbie/proplayer or whatever the hell that place is called.. The U will never be that again and to call it that now is a diservice to all the teams that earn that distinction. where do they find helmets small enough for jacory harris lil peanut head? he's never gonna lead miami to the promise land..he doesnt have it in him..hes about as good as scott covington. these U players now are too busy pretending to be tough making rap videos for youtube when guys in the 80's were hanging with luther campbell doing it for real. the golden era is over, i hope u enjoyed it while it lasted because u'll never see it again. I used to hate the Canes like people hated the 70's raiders because they were dirty but they were also great... now i cant even love to hate them because they are irrelevant.

in retrospect it was all down hill for the canes when they took away sebastians crack pipe and bandage... they tried to be to PC..donna shalala or whatever that fithbags name is ruined that place.

Buwahahahahaaaaa USF is on the rise more than the canes. Now that is a good one. While USF is improving were you under a rock 2 weeks ago? UM went into Raymond James and treated them like the read headed step children they are. I do agree about the OB. Should have built another one.

Tebow lost 5 games in his Heisman all mighty year which happened to be his sophomore year. Harris as a sophomore has lost 3 so far. 1 more game to go. Unlike pitt/UF not all teams have to have a great qb to be a great team. As long as he adds some weight, improves mechanics, studies film, reduces the interceptions being impatient, & the recruits keep coming they will be back. By the way here is the new pledge :p

Hey I love my job too, and when we loose people die... but do I cry? not only no but Fuch no. I just take my welbutrin, drink heavily and go on about my business. Nothing like people saying athletes are hero's... Dude get a clue, do you think if there wasn't a six or seven figure contract in these guys future's they would still be playing??? maybe a very small percentage. Also BTW your right Ray Lewis is no pu$$y, he only cries because he is a repentant criminal.

why isnt tebow a hero?...saving lives and defending the country isnt the only way people are heroes... if he inspires one kid to live an honest life, get good grades and give back then he is a hero. the guy uses his stature in life to help people. You can't fault him for athletes making lots of money. There are plenty of athletes that dont do anything positive being in the position they are... there are plenty average joes who dont do anything positive in life.. the amount of money they make it irrelevant. Its about taking advantage of what you do have to do good things and whether you like tebow or not u can;t knock the guy for not doing good things with his life off the field. you asked the question do i think if there wasnt big money in their future would they still play... i think in Tebow's case thats a resounding YES... he was coming off a national championship and a 2nd place in the heisman voting and he still decided to come back and play another year of unpaid football. The guy is living the dream, playing for the school he always wanted...sometimes love of the game is bigger than the money.

all you bitter bastards sit on ur couches and drink ur budweiser and tear apart the truly good people until you are old miserable pricks on ur deathbed wondering if you yourself did enough to get into heaven.
