remember that hp is torque over time, so rpm plays a huge factor in hp numbers, they never give the torque numbers or the rpm the hp was developed, i would bet it was in a much higher rpm range compared to the v-6's run, and if there is no torque down low then the launches will suck, and poor times will be the result, take a dyno numbers from of a street turbobuick, and keep the torque at max hp, and then add another 1,000-2,000 rpm to it and watch that hp number get real high real quick, there is more to racing than max numbers, it takes the whole cake to make a dessert, not just the cherry
