today i took off my upper intercooler pipe and my throttle body was snow white.. i looks terrible.. the screws on my TB butterfly are rusting, and the upper intake is looking like crap too...

is this normal??

also on a side note. i've been running the lm-1 WB for a long time and when i'm under boost and spraying i always loose my readings.. i get the E9 error code..

does this happen to anyone else?

Having messed with an Innovative unit a few days ago and it being fresh in memory, an E 9 error I believe is a voltage problem to the unit.

Maybe your killing the motor with alcohol and need to back down the system at lower boost levels.

Or make sure your throwing enough heat into the equation.

So to answer your question, my TB which is aluminum is absolutely perfect, blade is nice and polished.. no issues.

Are you mixing any water with the alcohol ? Or has your alcohol been contaminated with water due to being in a poorly sealed container. Alcohol by itself should not rust anything unless you are getting condensation or something from the changes in temps occuring from heat in the intake and then cooling from the alky-and perhaps spraying too much as Julio stated. The air flow should dry the intake out quickly unless you spray the alky under boost and then shut the motor off almost immediately. I have never seen that affect on mine. If there is rust there must be H2o in there somehow.
