well ,i'm about to take the GN to the tranny shop, but i fear that when there done , they might take a test drive:redface: , i had a bad experience there once, i did take the gn there last time with no issues, but the car now has a tremendous amount of power, and i fear temptation might get the best of them, Is there a way to disable the car so that it won't run fast ? any ideas
to make sure that they can't dog-it -out, the tranny mech is very good, pretty much the best around here. he normally does'nt even test drive the car
my one bad experience is what has me worried. any ideas would be great.

thanks in advance

Do u have an XFI? Just turn the boost all the way down otherwise.

hi BRETT

No XFI-( just eric's chip ) but i do have an adjustable boost controller  thanks bud

Lower the boost controller all the way. They WILL have to test drive the car. After any major repairs like that a good test drive is mandatory. If I pull a wheel off a car I still take it for a drive to ensure the wheel stays on.

i always took off my adjustable w/g actuator arm so the car wouldnt make any boost. no problems there.

x2.......remove actuator arm from wastegate, car will run good, but 0 boost......i do this everytime the car is out of my site.

Have heard the same thing....unhook the wastegate actuator and if possible remove the actuator rod off the car.

Nothing wrong with them taking it for a test drive, it's when they decide to abuse it and "see what it's got" that is the issue.

thanks guys , i will remove actuator arm from wastegate  , that will definetly ease my mind, 87Regal3.8SFI -your 100% right.
