Got a stock radio that has been sitting for awhile without a voltage source. Now even with a fresh car battery the clock in the radio looses it's memory.

How do I replace the battery that is built into the stock radio?

P/Ns, battery sources, instructions would be greatly appreciated.

I would check the fuses,,the stock radio doesnt have a battery back up,,there is a seperate wire from the fuse box that has power all the time ,,for memory...

Thanks for the pointer.

I wasn't sure if there was a separate battery or not.

That fuse he is talking about is the domelight/cigarette fuse but I think if that fues were blown than the radio will not work.

Does the domelight work?

Not sure if the domelight works or not. It's not my car but a friends.

Thanks for the info.

Fuse

If it is not your fuse, check your wiring. You may have the 12 volt switched power and the 12 volt constant backwards.
