 where did you get that 3 to1 hp gain from? (50 hp nos = 150 hp)?
I'am not saying that you are wrong but I was always told 150%-175% increase for a rated system under boost.
300% sounds extreme to me:eek:
I know a guy that runs an 80 shot on his turbo mustang ,maybe it's his combo but I know it doesn't NEARLY add 240 hp.

NO2

You get that increase from the NO2 it's self as well as from the cooling it does to the air. I ran a low 8 sec single turbo mustang for years. After some dyno tests we found under boost that intake temps went from 160 , to 40 on a 100+ day and HP went from 1146 to 1215 with 25hp jets. On a cooler day it could have made more, I don't know. All I was trying to say is don't take it lightly. It can run great IF tuned right with enough fuel. If it's not you will hurt parts.

IMO, Using nitrous is kind of a no brainer ONCE you know where to start with timing and fuel psi. Trying to learn those parameters from scratch can be disasterous so you need to do your homework first. I have found from running up to 300hp nitrous over the last 15 years that it is a lot more forgiving than people realize. I actually had a fuel solinoid get plugged before a run and all that happened was melted 6 out 8 plugs..

If I was REALLY into racing again I'd prolly have N2O on my GN because I like the technical aspect of running it. There's is nothing like the Instant power that it produces either!!:D

Those were the days....
