how do you identify a turbo?

how do you identify a turbo if its still on the car? and how many different types of turbo's have precision written on them?

I recently went through this because I just bought my first GN in April and the guy snowed me by telling me the turbo was upgraded when it wasn't. If it says "Precision" it is most likely one of "Precision Turbo" turbos and is probably an upgrade from the stock Garrett turbo. www.precisionturbo.net talk to Don, he is pretty helpful.

yea now im going through it, the guy told me the turbo is something it is not..so now im trying to figure out what it is..it does look bigger then the stock garret in my garage..but now i just wanna know what it is

I've never heard of a GT37 until I saw that car for sale. That's what tipped me off that you knew about this same car from Ebay. Hopefully whatever turbo you do have is something decent!
