For new car, never run so no prior baselines. How to make a first guess.

Wt ~ 2800#
Gear = 4.86:1
Tires = 29.5 x 15.50
HP ~ 550 @ 6000
TQ ~ 560 @ 4500

Not enough info.

In order to accurately pin down the best converter for your needs, much more information is required. Instead of retyping everything, take a look at the application chart that we utilize at TCI.

Hilborn splayed stack 8-port w/ Accell Gen 7 DFI
1 7/8 primary headers, 3 1/2 collectors and side exhaust

I plan to discuss selection with the trans vendor(s), but always like to know as much as I can going in to help in asking the right questions (and filtering any BS if some happens along).

Thanks for the reply. It seems that most people I've talked to are in the same area, around 3500 stall. I want the car to be able to cruise with the local Corvette club, and of course make the long idle down the boardwalk in Ocean City once a year. It will be raced at the all Corvette drags a couple times a year. The rest of the time it's just for fun runs on a nice sunny day.
