How do you remove A/C box? NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is the easiest way to remove A/C box without breaking anything? I need help asap. Its a 86 GN.

Engine out? There are a ton of screws. Even when you think you got them all there will be two more.

To pull it and not break it, you'll have to pull the passenger side fender.

Remember that the top comes off first and then the rest comes off. Like jpratt said, there's a bunch of screws that hold it on and you'll most likely miss 1 or 2 so take your time or you'll break the case.

Does the engine have to come out? I already got the top cover off and the couple of bolts that goes around the housing but not having any luck yet. I figured I will probaly have to pull the passenger fender I'm not want to pull engine. Whats behind the dash I have to remove for this thing to come on out?

I just recently pulled my hvac box from my 85 Limited. There is the cable for the vent door control that will need to be disconnected from under the dash or behind the glove box. Also, there is a screw under the ash tray area for the lower floor vent. There is also a blue vacuum line on the driver side area behind the gauge area that might be accessible around the steering column. And the connector for the blower motor and other electrical stuff. Which is close to the center floor vent stuff. Good luck.

inner wheel well, downpipe, pass. valve cover will help, lower vent on floor as said above, it will need to be tilted and and cocked and wiggled out once everything is off of it. having the center console out might help when tilting and cocking it. I have had some g body's that are a complete sumbtch to get out and some like the gn I have now the thing almost fell out with no problems.

Thanks I hope these tips help. I haven't touched since I pulled the top cover. I've been busy working 5a to 7p everyday. I have other priorities I need to do and can't get to it. I guess it will be this weekend before I start up again. I guess in the mean time I can get a few tips.
