How do you test a cam sensor. Help Quick!!!

How can you test a cam sensor? Can you do it while its in the car or do you have to pull it out? I need help quick. How do you know if the sensor has been installed right?

Yes, You probe the signal wires with a voltmeter and turn the engine over. My digital meter was too slow to show that it was working, so I slowly turned the engine over by hand and had a friend watch for any change in the voltages.

thats the picture that shows you the signal wires. Remember it needs to be plugged in to work correctly
