How does one test the WG Actuator...

I'd assume you have a dual port actuator if it's on an '81.
I myself have never messed with anything Pre '84. My best advice I can give would be to post this question in the Before Black section.

My best guess would be that one port is for vacume and one is for pressure. Dual port actuators work well with aftermarket boost controllers because they can be setup as a closed loop system, vs an open loop system with the '86-'87 single port internal actuators.

I'm always hanging out at the B4B woods. Figured I post it here since it is a technical question. Thanks for the reply.

I was just curious as to how to diagnose these actuators since I'm new to turbos. It's not that I suspect a malfunction, just want to make sure it works the way it was built to work. And if ever I had to troubleshoot, know how. :biggrin:
