My wife doesn't care for it. She doesn't understand what all the hype is about and doesn't understand why anyone would like "that old mans car".

Case in point. One morning we decide to go have breakfast. I talked her into taking the Buick. While sitting at the first light, someone pulls up and gives us the thumbs up. I motioned back. I didn't say anything to my wife.

A few minutes later, same thing happened. Again, I didn't say anything to my wife but I was wondering what she was thinking.

We finally get to the restaurant and I find the perfect parking place. On the end and right up front on plain view. We are standing in line inside the restaurant and I notice a couple of guys looking at the Buick. They come inside and stand behind us. Now they start talking about the Buick right behind us. They state "Man, I have always wanted one of those Grand Nationals?

I finally look over at my wife, her eyes are already rolling and I simply say, "honey, I guess it's just you that doesn't understand".

My wife is cool about it, she doesnt like the exhaust smell though. Someone else said it before me, it keeps me out of bars and tittie joints. She never has complained about the money i spend on it, because i keep all our cars running. She had a Tahoe go to 208k and then i bought her a TrailBlazer SS for Valentines Day. She does like to drive fast though. The last few times she took the GN she was racing somebody.

My wife is a keeper like my Buick....

She stated while we dating that I would / could never sell it. It is like a child to me, since purchase date of January 1988. Almost 20 years!

My wife has been in my life since June of 1998, ten years later and almost 10 years with her. I don't even have to sell it if things went the wrong way and we split. Not that we are planning it, but it is not about money!

I think I should keep buying Buicks with the that type of attitude, that way I don't have to sell or share 401k or house or etc. yeah that is the ticket, thanks for the thought guys!!!! new christmas present.... I want a daily driver for some of the year since it is snowing today... also, got my Jeep 4WD Grand Cherokee Overland Edition, back to the GRAND life... for me...

Also, the tire sensor is inside - no need to check each tire before the box burnout area... Did anyone see the New Jeep 0-60 in 3 seconds video on you tube or google videos, Lingfelter engine mods for $75 k

87 Buick Grand National - Black
04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Edition 4WD - Black and lots of power.. time to tweak it for the GS Nationals in 2007. Just one pass! Please Richard, even it is not Buick Engine.

I had one girlfriend say "change this in your car for the kids" and sell your GN if we get together.... IF, she was gone in a week... GN still here! But she was a great ride... wonder if she is still NOS... just joking... I mean I am NOS! kinda of Buick thing...

My wife is kinda of sick of hearing "Grand National" or "Buick"

Mine, too. It was especially confusing when I had a Century as the daily driver. Which car are we taking "the Buick". "Which Buick.....?" I'm glad to be rid of the Century and have just one Buick.

My wife definitely likes the car but she's afraid to drive it or even get near the thing, actually. She likes to remind me how much she loved the '67 GTO that the Buick replaced.

If my wife had some gasoline and a lighter, I am sure the Buick would be history. She calls "Brutus" my other women because I spend so much time washing, cleaning, fixing wrenching etc. She hates it and loves it at the same time. She hates the time I spend on it. But she loves when the 2 baby seats are strapped in the back with our little ones and we go out cruise. Boy I love my Buick.

The new g/f loves my Buick, even though it's ugly... I've known her for about 11 years, and we just now started hanging out and then dating. When I was in high school, I had a 13K mile '87 GN, and I guess she loved that car (so did I!). At the time, she was dating some guy that was really into Mudstains and I guess he and his buddies would always talk about how cool the GNs were.

One day in hs, I got stuck in the parking lot with a ton of traffic, so I did a huge brake stand and got the parking lot good and smokey. Who did I see giving my a huge thumbs up with a big grin while spinning the tires... that's right, it was her :D

Well, now I've got a 46K mile car that looks like a 300K mile car from the outside, but she still always wants to ride in it, as long as I don't "scare" her :D

She even likes to go to the track!!! I think I may have found myself a keeper

My wife is the most incredible I could ever ask for. She loves me and my Buicks. She says it is because they mean so much to me. She even buys me parts. Yes, I am an incredibly lucky man!

Married 33 years!
She drives 2002 Camaro SS 6 SPD every day
We had a 1998 Camaro SS at the same time. That was her every day drive
Two Mustang GT before the SS's, her cars
I drive a 2005 Malibu and daully truck
She has never driven the GN or the truck but:
Asked me what I wanted for Christmas:D
Drag radials are on order and more to come
Gn is the only other girl I mess with and that's the way she likes it

My wife went with me when I bought my 87 T about a month ago. She actually wanted me to buy a 94 Firebird Formula with a LT1 6 speed that had 48,000 miles from a friend of hers for $6000. Her friend got in a rush to sell it because she was moving and let it go for $4500 to soomeone else. I told my wife I rather have a GN or T-Type.

My girlfriend is ok with my T-Type but she doesnt like the loud exhaust waking her up when I start it in the garage in the morning. (2.5 ATR dual exhaust THDP with test pipe) It is a bit too loud.

My GF is Ok with it.
She gets to drive it ........ if she works on it.
Here she is, working on a HG change. I come home from work and the turbo, intake, injectors, etc. are all off, washed, cleaned and ready to go.
How do you think I can get the motor out 2X /year?

My wife loves my car! She actually races it and she run a best of 11.80 @118leaving at an idle. My wife actually drives my 98 Regal GSX everyday.

The kids also love the T Type, they love feeling the rush of acceleration.

My ex GF hated it, her mom loved it. It didnt help that someone came up and tried to steal the car with her in it:biggrin: she screamed, they ran away. Not many of the girls I was seeing when I drove the car daily liked it, they thought it was ghetto, then I accelerated a little and they liked it:biggrin: girls are stupid though, so I could care less what they thought.
