Im probably going to be buying a 75K mile Gn with only the following upgrades:
Dynomax exhaust
Adj fp reulator
307 hotwired
thrasher 92
vc breathers
(all stock parts are coming with the car)
and when I get it ill be adding a power plate, maf translator and lt1 maf(parts ive got just laying around) and then get an alky kit and cranking the boost up.What kind of times can I expect??? Dont want to change dp or anything, just want to have some fun with the car without degradeing driveability.

How much boost can I run??? What kind of times in the 1/4 in street trim can I expect??Ive allready got a race car so I dont want to build another money pit, just be able to smoke the newer cars.I know the stock dp will be holding me back but again I want to leave it stock so....

Any ideas???

12.20s-30s with the above, I would look at getting a chip setup for approx 98-100 octane, that will account for the alchohol.

You sure that kind of times with stock dp??? Im thinking ill get an extender chip or one from Eric at Turbotweak. Id assume these kind of times would be on slicks. What boost levels??? Id really like to even keep the car looking stock ie 235/60 bfg drag radials.

12.2-12.3 I don't think so.

Sorry, more like 13.2 if it's tuned well.

Keith is blowing smoke up your pooper.

Just me but hey if you run that fast then PLEASE come to Canada and tune my car.

Chit dude, if he can't get into the 12's with that stuff on slicks then sell the car! I went 13.30 stone stock with just a chip and K&N and some crappy flowmaster exhaust system. On pump gas, no alky, and drag radials. I'd say high 12's, maybe 12.7x?

I want a 12 second car, I dont care how much I have to turn up the boost. I think 12s are possible in full street trim with alky.Really just wondering how much the stock dp is going to bottle neck me.GNXs run mid 13s with their stock dp,so I dont think low 13s/high 12s will be a problem but id like to be able to run that on street tires and low to mid 12s on dot's.What do you think???

guy in my club (upgraded turbo/intercooler/injectors) runs stock down pipe, full weight car and is hitting 12.13s on drag radials and 100 octane...

My T went 12.80 at 104mph in the heat with a crappy Hypertech chip, home made cold air intake feeding the stock air cleaner, open exhaust, locking the converter on 26x10" Hoosiers with no tuning. The chip allowed only 16psi.

With alky and cranking the boost, I don't see why he couldn't go mid 12s on slicks. It's in the tune!!

Don't use the T92 at the track. Get a T100 instead. It will pull way harder in 3rd gear.

Port the elbow and gut the cat, the stock downpipe is not that big of a restriction. In back to back testing, the stock Elbow / 2.5" DP was only .05 seconds and 1.5 mph slower than a 3" Terry Houston DP, running 11.7's-8's in my TA49/bluetop/Big neck, stock IC T-Type on 275/60 BFGDR's.

I agree with ungn, the stock downpipe is not that big of a restriction. With stock elbow and no cat we have ran high 6.80's in the 1/8th. That's enough for a high 10 second pass. We were pushing the car while he was waiting for his Houston pipe.

I'd have to agree with the chip part. Although they're really nice for street use, their performance at the track is somewhat dismal.
As for getting into the 12's, Maybe, maybe not. Slicks will be needed for sure (or other kind of sticky tire) with the parts you're talking.
I mustered some 12.80's a few months ago, and that was in what I would call pure street trime. My regular street Firestones, Translator set on street gas settings, 93 octane gas in the tank, no alky(not a believer), etc. etc. and you can see my setup in my sig.
With my street tires, I was only able to launch at very light boost levels (1-2#), and that was on a nicely prepped track.
