I had my car repainted and just got it back a week ago.
The car was actually painted about three months ago but it took a long time for them to put the car back together. The car was wet sanded and buffed with sealer polish about two weeks ago.
How long should I wait to wax it ? It has a dull finish so I waxed a small place out of view and it made a lot of difference.
Why are you suppose to wait before waxing? Thanks, Jon

If the paint is three months old, I'd think it's OK to wax. The reason to wait to wax on new paint is so that all the solvents can bleed out of the paint while it is curing. No sense taking any chance on hurting the fresh paint.

"wax"

There are products such as Race Glaze Polish & Sealant,
that are safe to use on "fresh paint" (needs to be sufficiently
cured to be able to buff it). Waxes seal the new paint to the
point that the solvents cannot continue to come out,
which in turn can cause die back, and/or solvent pops.

If it's base/clear (which I'm sure it is) it's as cured as it's gonna get. Go for it:D
