My BB turbo spun for 5-6 seconds after I turned the car off when it was new.

Ball bearing will spin for a long time after shut down. Never timed it but 15 seconds at least. Journals stop sooner.

PTE ceramic dual bb turbos will spin quiet awhile after a run or hot shut down.
Proof is in the video.

1:18 to 2:16 car off, spooling down.

This was from 2010 TB.com nats dyno session. Turbo was a TSM legal PT7168 DBB .85 A/R 3-bolt.
Most of the smaller ceramic dbb turbos will stop sooner due to less rotating mass.
HTH

my PTE 6262 DBB would take a short time to spin down but this is the noise it was making (bearing issue, sent to PTE this week to find out whats wrong) after the noise you can still hear it spinning a bit

Sounds absolutely KILLER!!! Seeing the whole car bucking after let-off gives an idea of what these cars are being put through by motors like yours. Simply amazing....and no BOV??? :p (See thread entitled "GN and bov's??" in the General Tech section!!

I'm glad to see you're finally getting to the bottom of that weird noise. I knew whatever it was, it didn't sound good.
