How many prongs at instrument cluster for fuel gauge?

Troubleshooting a fuel gauge as it is registering well past full. Does the instrument cluster have 2 or 3 prongs that clamp on to the male gauge panel pegs I see 2 prongs on my IC and wondering if I disturbed and pushed one out. Thanks in advance.

Was able to find the issue and fix it. I had knocked one of the receptor prongs off from seated on the cluster. It does take three.
